NBIC’s Trip to Bosnia Hercegovina

NBIC is excited to run a summer trip to Bosnia Hercegovina from July 4-12, 2025. The program will be led by Imam Bayram Mulic of the Bosnian American Community and Sami Catovic of NBIC, who will provide the historical and cultural background of the land, religion, tradition and people. In addition, spiritual reflections will be shared throughout the trip. The journey is not only an opportunity to explore the rich Muslim cultural tradition of six centuries of European Islam, but also to experience the breathtaking beauty of the country.

On this journey, we will visit historic sites as well as meet with community leaders and locals in order to connect with the living Bosnian Muslim tradition.  We will also have an opportunity to learn about and witness the Bosnian Muslim resilience in surviving genocidal attempts to eliminate them. To that end, while we are there, we will join the international commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the genocide of Muslims in Srebrenica.
